A special variation of the 1HDT is the 1HDFT. This engine was produced after the 1HDT engine was introduced. Additionally, it has direct injection and is a diesel engine type.
There are two inlet valves and two exhaust valves on each cylinder of the engine’s 24 valve SOHC turbocharged system, for a total of four valves on each cylinder.
